Ted O’Neill was known for his belief in the importance of hard work, aiming high, and remaining determined. He lived his life according to that code, enjoying a distinguished 30-year career in retail, a large and loving family, and well-earned retirement. He brought this same tenacity to his battle with cancer. But after a courageous effort, he passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones, on Friday, July 8, 2022.

In keeping with Ted’s long history of giving back to the communities in which he lived, and in thanks for the care he received at the RVH Simcoe Muskoka Regional Cancer Centre, his family has established a fund in his honour to support the purchase of a PET-CT scanner. Every gift made will help bring this incredibly important diagnostic tool to RVH, helping detect certain cancers earlier and improving outcomes by providing approximately 1,000 scans per year for people across Simcoe Muskoka.

On behalf of the O’Neill family, thank you for choosing to celebrate Ted’s life by making a gift.
