August 20, 2021, learn how to perform CPR and obtain your CPR certification with these incredible CPR training courses, while at the same time benefiting patient care at RVH.
This CPR training day, hosted by Barrie First Aid Training, located at 4 Alliance Boulevard in Barrie, will offer participants the chance to obtain hands-on CPR training in a limited group setting.
Choose between CPR-C or CPR-BLS. All courses will cover AED training as well and participants will receive a certificate upon completion. BLS is recommended as the best option to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies. Students will learn to perform CPR and choking procedures on adults, children, and infants.
- CPR-C includes techniques to help someone who is choking and manage airway and breathing emergencies. As well as manage sudden cardiac arrest in adults, children and infants.
- CPR-BLS includes all of that with the addition of ventilating (breathing) for someone with a bag-valve mask (ambubag) and performing CPR on patients with a controlled airway such as an intubated patient.
There will be two groups of up to 10 people in each group. Group One, will run from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and Group Two, will run from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Entry into the course is a minimum $60 donation and all proceeds will be donated in support of patient care at RVH.
