Alectra Inc. and RVH Research Institute partner to improve health outcomes for vulnerable people

Alectra Inc., together with the RVH Foundation, have established the ‘Alectra Fund for Health and Social Innovation’ to improve the health outcomes for people who are facing barriers across our community.

Through the ‘Alectra Fund for Health & Social Innovation’, Alectra is providing $500,000 – over five years – to sponsor several studies through the RVH Research Institute that focus on the interaction between health and social issues. Click here to read more.

RVH names new President and CEO

Following an extensive four-month national search, RVH announced yesterday the appointment of Gail Hunt as new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective July 4, 2022. Gail will work closely with RVH’s current President & CEO, Janice Skot, in the coming months to ensure a smooth and seamless leadership transition. Celebrating Resident Doctors Awareness Week

It’s Resident Doctors Awareness Week (February 8 – 12), a national celebration of the vital work undertaken by resident physicians. At RVH, we’re particulary proud of the residents who come through our residency program for family doctors. Since the program began in 2009, 92 family medicine residents have completed their training at RVH, with 55 staying in the area to set up their own practices, providing temporary coverage for area physicians or work in various departments at RVH.
